Nexus 7-A Proud Member Of The Nexus Tradition

Nexus 7-The Same With A Bigger Punch....

There is no need for us to tell you that last year's Nexus 7 was a ginormous hit. Selling at no less than 20 piece per minute at the time of its launch. The collaboration between Google And Asus had clearly proved that this one was a pair meant to be.
So no one was surprised when leaks of a new Nexus 7 with Asus branding covered the Internet. So here is our review on the new Google Nexus 7.

Display:

Probably the biggest and the best upgrade from last years Nexus 7 is that, this years Nexus has a 7 inch 1920x1080 scree resolution (yes it is HD
) with a pixel density of 323 ppi. That is by far the best screen by far on any tablet, easily surpassing the
iPad 3 and its elder brother the Nexus 10.
The screen like all other new phones and tablets is protected by Corning's Gorilla Glass, making it that more durable.

Internal Specs:

The Nexus 7 is one of the newest devices to be launched with Qualcomm's brand new Snapdragon S4 Pro chipset which features a Quad-Core 1.5 GHz Snapdragon Krait processor which pulverizes benchmarks and just about any other app that you throw at it.
The RAM is amounts to around 2 GB which is pretty good considering that last years model only carried a 1 GB RAM onboard.
The GPU is surprisingly an Adreno 320 we were befuddled to see this and then after spending some time with te tab we were like Nah this thing doesn't need an Adreno 330 GPU.

Camera:

First of all we would like to say that this is a camera on a tablet so you can never expect much from it. And it is that way it is a crappy 5 MP camera that provides dull, muted and washed out pictures. But it was a nice gesture from Asus's part to include a camera at least.
It does also feature a front facing secondary camera with a 1.2 MP sensor to capture all those selfies and for Video Conferencing.

Memory:

Continuing the trend started by most of the high end smartphone's and tablets the Nexus 7 also doesn't feature  expandable storage but it is available in 2 variants based on size that is a 16 and 32 GB and it also features a Non-cellular and a Cellular 4G LTE models.

Operating System:

This device is a  Nexus. At the end of the day every Nexus device will always be updated to the latest and greatest Android OS from Google for a very long time. So it is no surprise that even the Nexus 7 features Android 4.3 right out of the box.
The new OS feature a couple of new features such as support for more Bluetooth device's, Google Play Games etc.
You can check out the video on the side by MKBHD for more information on the new features of Android 4.3.

Colors, Battery And Price:

As of now the Nexus 7 is available only in black. The back of the device has this kind of matte smooth finish which makes it so much better to hold and grip.
The battery on board the device is a Li-ion 3950 mAh battery which again surprising beacause the last years model had a slightly larger battery, however this model is a very great "Battery Sipper" (quoting MKBHD).
Pricing starts at about $229 for the unlocked Wi-Fi only 16 GB model all the way upto to a $320 32 GB unlocked 4G LTE cellular model.

Conclusion:

Like every year Google has stunned every single geek and commoners alike with the launch of their new Nexus 7 as expected. And Google has priced this device very competitively starting of at just $229.
So we think that the Play Store will be stocks out very soon.

So that's our review on the Asus Google Nexus 7.
