Hey Guys,

I know that it has been a long time since I have posted on the blog. But between college and studies I barely have any time.

I will begin updating the blog from Wednesday The 4th Of September.

The Weblast Series Will continue and this week it will feature the MotoMaker webpage.

We will be adding a new series called What App, where we will give you the latest news from the world of iOS and Android apps.

Root Hoot will also be introduced to give you a slice from the rooting and developers world.

Postponed Review On The LG Google Nexus 4

INTRODUCING THE LG GOOGLE NEXUS 4:

Hey guys, so you may be wondering why the delayed review on the LG Googlee Nexus 4, its because this time I'am actually reviewing the device as I have bought it to be used as my daily driver.
Even though you might have already read and watched other reviews on the same device, I wanted to give my own Tech Tonic review for the Nexus 4.
A slight disclaimer before reading this review:
This review is based on my personal experience with this device and not as an influenced and biased review.

DESIGN:

Speaking of the camera the back panel which houses the camera has a beatiful glittering pattern that can be seen only when the back hits a particular angle against the sun.
Further the design of this phone is amazing it consists of edge to edge glass on the front which makes it that much better to look at it also consists of a pulsating notification light whose color can be changed as per your choice.
The front of the Nexus 4 bares remarkable similarities to the front of the Samsung Galaxy Nexus.

DISPLAY:

Ok to start of the Nexus 4 sports an amazing 4.7in True IPS display delivering an astounding PPI (Pixels-Per-Inch) of 399 which is good a screen as the iPhone 5.

PROCESSORS:

The beast is powered by (yet another beast) the Qualcomm SnapDragon S 4 1.6Ghz quad-core processor which was undoubtly one of the best processors when the phone was released back in November of the previous year.
In benchmarks (especially the Quadrant Benchmark) it was always present in the top 3 phones and also occasionaly beat phone suck as the Sony Xperia Z and was only beaten by the HTC One and the Samsung Galaxy S 4.

OPERATING SYSTEM:

It comes with (al least mine did) stock Android 4.2.1 out of the box which is still Android Jellybean and it is buttery as ever even though I'm pretty sure it will get better as the months go by.

CAMERA:

The camera for all Nexus products has been redesigned such that you can tap the screen to focus that part of the picture and also if you keep holding the screen at that spot you will get a radial menu with lots of options around your finger such as flash effects etc.
It also comes with a built-in instagram like filter to edit your photos as soon as you take them without the use of any third party apps.

BATTERY:

The 2100 mAh battery present in the Nexus 4 is non-removable much to the dismay of many  people. The battery got me through a whole day with around 15% battery remaining. My phone usage includes email, music, video's, Facebook and about an hour and a half of phone calls.
So thats my delayed review on my first phone the LG Google Nexus 4.

Rumor Mill-The Motorola X Phone

A few days back i stumbled upon a rather interesting video on YouTube by MKBHD which you can check out here.
So as you you know Google basically acquired Motorola a few months back. As a result Google hired Guy Kawasaki to advice Motorola Mobilityvideo of a sort of "Do It Yourself Porsche" and captioned it by saying "Wouldn't it be cool if you could personalize your smartphone like this".

The guy's who read the post went absolutely nuts!
The comments section skyrocketed with questions about the "X-Phone".
The latest rumors even include that the X-Phone will have the exact screen size with just the right screen size with little or no bezel at all.
Further it was also come with a wooden case option to personalize your phone that much more.
The thing about the X-Phone is that it doesn't exist yet.
Its basically a manifestation of our desire coupled with our expectations of Google.
However in the end when our expectations are not met we begin acting like as if Google owes us and then come the grudges.

So that was our Rumor Mill post for this week on the Motorola (which doesn't exist) "X-Phone".

Xbox One-40th post

INTRODUCING (FINALLY) THE XBOX ONE:

What better way to celebrate our 40th post than a review on the Microsoft's new baby the Next Gen gaming console the Xbox One.
Codename-Durango is finally here.
The date 21st May 2013 will go down in gaming history as the day that Microsoft (finally) released the Xbox One.
The event took most gamers by shock as it took everyone by surprise.
It includes a lengthy sheet of specs that includes goodies for everyone. As you know this console is the successor to the highly successful Xbox 360 series.

PROCESSORS, STORAGE AND RAM:

The console is powered by a highly powerful
AMD 8 Core APU with a storage space of 500 GB to store all your games, videos, music etc.
To handle multi-tasking it consists of an 8 GB out of which 5 GB is made available for games.

It also consists of AMD Raedon Graphics processor which is the most important part of a gaming console. Obviously!

OPERATING SYSTEM AND OTHER SPECS:

The Operating System running on the One is an updated version of the XboxOS.
The Blu-Ray player also makes is debut in the Xbox console with the Xbox One which was in the wish list of users since day one.
One of the major features for the future is the fact that the console supports 4K resolution.
It has can support both input and output HDMI.

THE DOWNSIDE:

Sadly (and this is really sad), the One does not feature Backward Compatibility, which was the same loss that many PS3 users faced.


So that's my review on the New Codename-Durango Microsoft Xbox One.

Web Blast-MKBHD

Yes this is our third Web Blast post for the day even though we promised you only one a week, but decided to do more due to the amazing response we got from this new series that

we added a couple of weeks ago.

Today we bring to you MKBHD-which is short for Marques K Brownlee HD.

He currently doesn’t have a website (as far as I know) but he is an amazing Youtuber who I believe started making YouTube videos in 2009.

He is a full time student and also a professional sportsman with Ultimate Frisbee as his choice of sport. He plays for the New Jersey Hammerheads.

He does awesome reviews on all things Tech and also covers a number of major events. Most recently he was at the corny (but entertaining) release of the Samsung Galaxy S4 in New York and also had a Q&A session with a number of Samsung Designers at the launch.

He is very friendly in his reviews and also adds a touch of humor in his videos to make it more comforting for the viewers.

Among his newest reviews include the review on the Oppo Find5, Samsung Galaxy S4, HTC One, Android Key Lime Pie 5.0 Wish List etc.

Second Web Blast for the day seems like we are desperate but believe me we are not. We received an amazing response this series that we decided to break down the 1 post a week rule, from now on you can expect a whole lot more from this series whenever you visit TechTonic.

In this post I would like to share a personal favorite Pocket Now.

As most of you know Pocket Now is a one stop page for all your tech needs. The special feature of this website is that they are very consistent in uploading and there is also a series know as Pocket Now Daily where Jamie Rivera one of their editors presents all the latest rumors and announcements from the day in one video. You can check out the Pocket Now Daily playlist on YouTube here.

They have a number of editors including Michael Fisher, Joe Levi, and Taylor Martin etc. who cover various aspects of the site.

For example Michael Fisher mainly converges over the unboxing’s and the reviews whereas Joe Levi mainly covers the product accessories, MOD’s  for Android etc. and as mentioned to you earlier Jamie Rivera mainly conducts Pocket Now Daily.

WebBlast- TechnoBuffalo

Our second Web Blast post is already here to bring to you the most interesting websites from the Internet. This week we bring to you a website that you must know if you have an Internet connection-TechnoBuffalo.

As the name suggests the website is about all thing's tech. As a tech enthusiast myself I rely on TechnoBuffalo for all my reviews and check out the device that I’m reviewing in their website to see their opinion and their experience with that particular device.

TechnoBuffalo also have their own YouTube channel and you can check their channel here.

One of their most recognized and well known editors is of course Jon Rettinger who does most of their YouTube videos and writes quite a few of their reviews online.
