Review-Lenovo IdeaPad Yoga

Introducing The Flexible Personal Computer-The Yoga:

Yes its a convertible, Yes its Windows 8 so lets look at it in depth.


Processors and Operating System:

The Yoga is powered by the 3rd generation Intel i7 processor.The graphics chip onboard is the Intel HD 4000. It obviously runs on the new Windows 8 OS with an option to upgrade to the new Windows 8 Pro.

Display:

The graphics on the 13.3in screen are stunning with an outstanding HD+ resoultion of 1600x900 and also feature IPS technology.

Storage And Display:

It sports an onboard memory of 128GB Solid State Drive(SSD) and upto 8GB memory. It also allows you to store your media and files on LenevoCloud and also allows you to recover lost or protect files using OneKey Rscue.  The touchscreen is bliss to use with 10 finger multitouch touchscreen. The Yoga also usees the webcam as an input device and hence Lenovo Motion Control allows you to effortlessly flip pages, rewind/forward music, change the volume, and gesture other simple commands with a flick of the hand. The webcam can also shoot video at 720p.

Connectivity:

On the connectivity end it has a USB 3.0 SuperSpeed USB slot alongwith an USB 2.0 and also a 3 in 1 Memory Card Slot.

Additional Features:


The keyboard also allows you to Easily cycle through Yoga's four modes with Lenovo
Transition, a technology that automatically switches system settings and locks the keyboard in place. It also supports HD graphics with HDMI output.The Yoga weighs in at 13.3 lbs.
It comes with quite a few pre-loaded applications including amazon Kindle, AccuWeather, Microsoft Office 2010, eBay, RaRa, FishingJoy, Evernote, CyberLink, Cloud Sync by SugarSync just to name a few.

Battery Life:


The battery life is decent at 8 hours.

So thats my review on the new Lenovo IdeaPad Yoga 13.

Review-The Samsung Ativ


Introducing The New Contender In The Windows Era:

The Windows 8 phone revolution has started competing with all time champions Apple to knock down the leaders in smartphone platforms by adapting a variety of methods. Apple's all time rivals Samsung have just come out with a new new range of Windows 8 phones starting from the new Samsung Ativ I8750.

Display:

The new Ativ has a 4.8in, Super AMOLED, 720x1280, Corning Gorilla Glass 2 screen which does'nt need any more stunning descriptions to show how good the screen is.

Connectivity:

It was announced on August 2012 and features 3G, 2G available on Micro-Sim platform. On the connectivity end it features Bluetooth 3.0, WiFi, micro-USB and also Near Field Communication or in simpler form NFC which facilitates wireless charging from its array of features.

Processor's:

It has features a new Qualcomm MSM8960 Snapdragon chip-set, it sports the Krait 1.5GHz dual core processor and an Adreno 225 GPU.

Camera:

 It has a 8 mega-pixel primary camera which can shoot video at 1080p at 30 frames per second. It also has a secondary 1.9 mega pixel secondary camera. The caemra also allows for Geo Tagging and Image Stabilization.

Battery, Talk-Time And Colors:

The battery pack is a Lithium ion 2300mAh which allows 168 hours of battery standby on 2G and 218 hours on 3G and 8 hour of talk time on 2G and 14.5 hours talk time on 3G. Its availible only in one color that is grey.
So thats my review on the new Samsung Ativ I8750.
